I am a Consultant Upper GI, Bariatric, and Robotic Surgeon at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, with an extensive career across upper gastrointestinal, bariatric, and emergency general surgery. My training spans multiple UK centres of excellence, culminating in advanced bariatric and robotic fellowships including the Gore Bariatric Fellowship (2023) and Johnson & Johnson Bariatric Trainee Pathway (2024).
I hold a FRCS (2022), MRCS, a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, and a Postgraduate Award in Healthcare Skills from Warwick Medical School. My clinical portfolio reflects broad procedural expertise in benign upper GI, bariatric surgery, diagnostic endoscopy, and basic robotic techniques.
I have held substantive roles in service development and governance, including Bariatric and Robotic UGI Program Lead and Governance Lead for General Surgery at Worcestershire. I have designed bariatric pathways, introduced mobile theatre units, and coordinated rotas across training grades.
As an NIHR i4i-funded researcher, I am completing a part-time MD on the use of Raman spectroscopy for in vivo endoscopic diagnostics. My earlier funded research included extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in organ preservation. I have published over 30 papers and book chapters, including in The British Journal of Surgery, Surgical Practice, and BJS Open.
I have contributed to numerous national audits (e.g. RIFT, HART, ARROW, PANC, NASBO), many as local lead or regional collaborator, and is currently a regional representative for the Sunflower Study, the UK’s largest NIHR HTA-funded gallstone RCT.
A dedicated educator, I am faculty for CST and HST simulation teaching in the West Midlands, a CCrISP and ATLS instructor, and have organised laparoscopic workshops supported by Ethicon. I have also served as Honorary Clinical Tutor at the University of Bristol and for the Severn School of Surgery.
I combine a track record in clinical excellence, health innovation, and multidisciplinary education, with the energy and team spirit essential for modern surgical leadership.

When I am not working, I enjoy staying active by playing cricket and badminton sports that have been a part of my life for years and offer a wonderful way to stay fit and unwind. I am also a fan of anime and movies, which I find both engaging and a fascinating glimpse into diverse cultures and storytelling traditions. Quality time with my family is incredibly important to me, and we love going on holidays together, exploring new places, and creating cherished memories. I value a balanced lifestyle that combines physical activity, creativity, and meaningful relationships, which keeps me grounded and inspired in all areas of life.
