I am a Consultant Urogynaecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon for benign gynaecology at New Cross Hospital, The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. With over 20 years’ NHS experience in obstetrics and gynaecology and more than a decade focused on urogynaecology, I am the lead for the urogynaecology service at New Cross Hospital, delivering specialist care for urinary incontinence, pelvic floor disorders, and vaginal surgery.
I combine advanced laparoscopic and vaginal surgical skills to offer a broad range of treatment options, including vNOTES hysterectomy and laparoscopic colposuspension.
My urogynaecology practice encompasses vaginal hysterectomy, uterosacral ligament suspension, pelvic floor repair, autologous fascial sling, urethral bulking, cystoscopy, Botox bladder injection, colpocleisis, sacrospinous fixation and abdominal sacrocolpopexy. In benign gynaecology I perform laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, laparoscopic salpingo oophorectomy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic sterilisation, abdominal hysterectomy, myomectomy, operative hysteroscopy and uterine ablation.
I am confident in performing vaginal surgeries for uterovaginal prolapse such as vaginal hysterectomy, pelvic floor repair, sacrospinous fixation, uterosacral ligament suspension and colpocleisis.
I provide wide range of surgical treatment options for urinary incontinence such as autologous fascial sling, laparoscopic colposuspension, urethral bulking agent and botox bladder injection.
I perform hysterectomy through laparoscopic approach and through the non abdominal scar vNOTES hysterectomy. I perform laparoscopic sterilisation, laparoscopic removal of tubes and ovaries, hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation.
My eadership skills experience has helped in steering the unit at New Cross Hospital towards innovation, multidisciplinary collaboration and improved patient outcomes, championing same day discharge, ambulatory urogynaecology and enhanced recovery pathways. I audit and monitor my surgical practice to maintain high standards of care.
I am committed to education and training; I was appointed for a role of College Tutor and the Educational Lead for Gynaecology at New Cross Hospital. I am the Preceptor for Urogynaecology and Vaginal Surgery, Health Education England (HEE) West Midlands. Through mentoring and structured teaching, I support the development of the next generation of gynaecologists and promotes a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.
