I am a double-qualified Consultant Ophthalmologist in the UK and overseas with more than 16 years' experience in ophthalmology, have multiple vocational diplomas from awarding bodies, and have more than 30 peer review publications.

I specialise in cataracts, laser eye surgery, refractive surgery, ocular surface, corneal grafts, and dry eye. I have performed thousands of sight saving surgeries. I put evidenced based Ophthalmology at the heart of my practice.

I have performed thousands of sight saving procedures throughout my career to include: cataracts, lens implant/exchange, IOL, trabulectomies, corneal grafts, intracorneal ring implantation, YAG laser, crosslinking, femto and excimer laser to cornea.

I am an ophthalmology examiner in two Royal Colleges and also the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Regional Representative. I am a Royal College of Ophthalmology Council Member, a Trustee Board Member, and a Remuneration Committee Member.

I supervise Masters and PhD students in Ophthalmology. I am also a Lecturer in Ophthalmology at the Research Institute of Ophthalmologists in Cairo, Egypt.

I currently hold substantive posts as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Queen Victoria Hospital and Eye Bank NHS Trust in East Grinstead, and Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
