I am a consultant ENT surgeon based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital with a private practice at Spire Claremont Hospital. I see patients with general ENT problems and have a sub-specialist interest in ear disease.
My main interest is in ear disease and I am a core member of the skull base multidisciplinary team, a tertiary referral centre for skull base disease which includes complex pathology in the bone housing the ear.
I graduated from Cardiff in 1984 and undertook surgical training in Cardiff, Nottingham, Birmingham and Sheffield / Doncaster training programmes. During this time I undertook research which culminated in a master of philosophy degree. Before taking up a full time consultant post in the NHS I undertook a skull base and Neuro otology fellowship in Toronto Canada.
I am currently the senior consultant ENT surgeon at the Royal Hallamshire as well as the clinical governance lead.
