I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon based at Cambridge University Hospitals, specialising in hip and knee arthroplasty, including robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery. I was appointed as a consultant in 2019 and have completed fellowship training in complex and revision hip replacement surgery, with particular expertise in the management of infected joint replacements. I currently serve as the lead for lower limb metastatic bone disease and the education and supervision of specialist registrars within the orthopaedic department.

I completed my specialist orthopaedic training on the Cambridge rotation, followed by an advanced fellowship in lower limb arthroplasty and complex revision hip surgery at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, one of the highest-volume centres in the UK. My training encompassed the full spectrum of primary and revision hip replacement surgery, including the use of custom-made and 3D-printed implants. I have further enhanced my expertise through visits to internationally recognised orthopaedic centres in the UK and Europe, including the Endo Klinik in Germany.

I am a high-volume arthroplasty surgeon, having performed over 1,000 joint replacement procedures in recent years. I routinely use robotic-assisted technology, including the Mako system, and patient-specific implants where appropriate, to deliver highly personalised care.

Alongside my clinical practice, I maintain a strong academic profile. I have served as a principal investigator in national clinical trials, authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, and book chapters, and regularly present at national and international meetings. I am a reviewer for The Bone & Joint Journal and sit on the national advisory panel for the British Hip Society Revision Hip Network.
