Mr Josh Lake

Senior Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist

Physiotherapist

I am a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with a particular interest in shoulder, spinal and knee conditions, as well as rehabilitation and return-to-sport training.

I support patients with a wide range of injuries and long-term conditions, helping to improve strength, mobility and confidence through tailored rehabilitation programmes. This includes supporting patients recovering from injury, managing ongoing musculoskeletal pain and guiding safe return to activity or sport.

I began my career with a degree in Sport Science and Coaching, before completing my physiotherapy training. Alongside this, I worked within a high-performance sporting environment, supporting athletes and helping them develop at national and international level. This experience has shaped my understanding of injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance.

Since qualifying as a physiotherapist, I have gained experience across both NHS and private settings, working in a variety of clinical areas before focusing on musculoskeletal care. I joined Spire Liverpool Hospital in 2023, where I continue to develop my clinical skills and support patients with personalised treatment plans.

I understand how frustrating injuries and ongoing pain can be, so I take time to listen carefully and provide clear, practical advice to support recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and keeping fit.
