MBBS BSC ( Hons) FRCS Urology
I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon with specialist expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate conditions. I completed my medical training at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London, followed by higher surgical training in London and the South West of England. I became the first Chief Resident at the Bristol Urological Institute, where I also undertook a fellowship in renal surgery and endourology.
I joined Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in October 2020 and have since played a key role in advancing the service. This has included leading successful bids for two Da Vinci robotic surgical systems and a fixed-site lithotripter, as well as overseeing the development of a new urology investigations unit.
I have extensive surgical experience across robotic, laparoscopic and open procedures. I am also recognised as a key opinion leader for aquablation and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). I have an interest in men with lower urinary tract symptoms and offer a thorough assessment of men presenting with urinary symptoms.
I offer bladder neck incision, plasma trans urethral resection of the prostate and aquablation surgery. I am a key opinion leader for aquablation having completed the first cases in the South West of England. I am a proctor for aquablation and run a European reference centres for this procedure. In addition, I run a consultant training course for transurethral resection of the prostate.
I offer an NHS practice for kidney cancer surgery based in Cheltenham offering a robotic and open practice.
I am the highest volume aquablation surgeon in the Midlands, South West England and Wales and have completed over 250 cases.
