Specialises in
With over 20 years of experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, I serve as the Lead Consultant Surgeon for Hand and Wrist Surgery at St George’s Hospital—a major trauma centre and London’s largest hospital.
I have expertise in all aspects of this field, treating both adults and children, managing common ailments as well as rare, complex conditions that require microsurgical reconstruction. While many surgeons perform a bit of hand surgery as part of a broader practice, it is my passion and primary speciality.
Fully UK medically and specialty trained, I have the highest qualifications in plastic surgery including the European Hand Diploma. I refined my expertise through prestigious fellowships in the world-renowned Pulvertaft Hand Centre and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
I regularly attend international conferences to ensure that my mastery of both adult and children's hand and wrist conditions is up to date. Whether it be carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger or a complex hand injury that requires bone, joint, ligament and nerve reconstruction, for you or your child, I have extensive experience and can ensure you receive a thorough consultation, listening to your needs and helping you consider all the options to pick the best one for you.
I treat both adults and children, managing common ailments as well as rare, complex conditions that require microsurgical reconstruction.
I hold weekly clinics for children's hand issues, including congenital differences and cerebral palsy/spasticity and complex trauma (fractures, tendon, and nerve injuries).
My adult practice covers the full range of hand and wrist conditions. This includes nerve issues: carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome, degenerative Conditions: arthritis and Dupuytren’s contracture. Injuries: sports injuries, fractures, ligament tears. tendon and nerve injuries. Advanced procedures: Joint replacements and free joint/muscle transfers.
I also provide expert care for skin lesions, moles, cysts, and lipomas.
Working in plastic and reconstructive surgery for over 20 years, I have a wealth of experience in the specialty. Throughout my training I have focused on becoming a kind doctor and excelling in technical skill. As a consultant I am able to put this compassion, knowledge and skill into my daily practice.
I have an ongoing busy NHS practice as the Lead Hand and Wrist Plastic Surgeon at St George’s Hospital, completing several hundred procedures per year, across the full range of hand and wrist surgery.
I am a keen educator and am a qualified educational supervisor for higher surgical trainees in plastic surgery.
I also do regular charity work, giving time each year to provide teaching and surgical expertise in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, attending to the care of children with complex congenital hand and wrist conditions.
