I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon and my practice concentrates mostly on the lower limb. I also provide a service for sports injuries, including arthroscopic knee surgery as well as trauma.
I was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford in April 2012. Currently, I am the departmental clinical audit lead for Orthopaedics and I also lead the Enhanced Recovery service which focuses on reducing complications associated with hip and knee replacement surgery as well as reducing overall hospital stay. I am active in the training of other doctors, ranging from teaching family doctors to perform injections, to training orthopaedic surgeons in the techniques of knee and hip surgery.
I was born and raised in Kent and qualified in 2000 at St George's Hospital Medical School, London. My Specialist Registrar rotation was all based in the South East. On completion of my training I undertook two surgical fellowships, one in Calgary, Canada and one in the UK at Guy's Hospital, London. During this time I gained experience in complex primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty as well as unicompartmental knee surgery and treatment of young adult hip disorders.
