Professional profile

After medical school at University College Dublin, I trained to FRCSI in Ireland. I then went on a research fellowship at Boston University. I returned as a lecturer in surgery in Sheffield and did my higher surgical training in Bristol and the South West. I completed training in coloproctology at St Mark's Hospital, London.

I have been a consultant General Surgeon in Portsmouth for five years, with a major interest in coloproctology. My ongoing clinical aim is to improve the process of care of patients with colorectal disease in order to improve clinical outcomes.
