I specialise in the surgical management of painful hip and knee joints, including arthroscopy, as well as partial and total hip and knee joint replacements. I have extensive experience in managing painful and failing hip and knee replacements and, where appropriate, performing revision surgery to address these problems.
I also provide assessment, diagnosis, and surgical removal of benign tumours of the arms and legs, including both bone and soft tissue tumours.
Over the past 12 months, I have performed more than 150 joint replacements and maintain a less than 1% one‑year revision rate according to the National Joint Registry. In total, I have performed approximately 1,000 joint replacements. I have significant experience in complex primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery, including the use of robotic techniques and custom‑manufactured implants where appropriate.
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Cwm Taf Morgannwg, specialising in hip and knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, and trauma. I am also the lead for metastatic bone disease (bone tumours).
