I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH), I specialise in hip and knee replacements, with additional expertise in revision knee surgery. I believe in a collaborative, patient-centred approach — working closely with patients to understand their concerns and find the most suitable treatment options.

I carry out hip replacements, primary and complex knee replacements, knee arthroscopy, unicompartmental knee replacements, and revision knee surgery (at NNUH only). I am skilled in using a variety of implants and advanced techniques, such as computer-navigated arthroplasty, and I work closely with my patients to ensure this expertise is applied to achieve the best possible results.

My orthopaedic surgical training took place in the East of England Deanery, including at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH). I completed an international fellowship at Hollywood Hospital in Perth, Australia, during the COVID-19 pandemic, where I gained invaluable experience in high-volume primary and revision joint replacement surgery, as well as familiarity with implant systems not commonly used in the UK. I then refined my skills further during a UK fellowship at the Chapel Allerton Orthopaedic Centre (CHOC) in Leeds, where I worked with a diverse range of primary and revision implants and managed complex cases involving injuries around joint replacements at Leeds General Infirmary.

At the NNUH Revision Hub, I am one of the two surgeons performing the highest volume of revision procedures. This experience has given me a deep understanding of why some joint replacements fail, enabling me to tailor treatments to maximise the success of patients initial surgery and minimise the need for future revision. I am an Honorary Associate Professor within the University of East Anglia Medical School.
