I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon based in Newcastle upon Tyne, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of complex back and neck conditions. I provide both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for a wide range of spinal disorders, with a strong focus on delivering personalised, patient centred care.
I offer comprehensive assessment and treatment for a broad range of spinal conditions such as slipped or herniated discs, sciatica, spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spine), degenerative spine disease, spinal fractures, cervical radiculopathy (brachialgia), lumbar radiculopathy (sciatica) and spondylolisthesis.
My approach is centred around understanding each patient’s individual needs, with the goal of improving quality of life through safe, effective and evidence based care.
I completed my medical degree (MBBS) in India before relocating to the North East of England in 2005 to undertake higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics. Throughout my training, I gained extensive experience across orthopaedic trauma and various subspecialties, before focusing on spinal surgery.
To further enhance my expertise, I completed the prestigious AO Spine Fellowship in Brisbane, Australia. This advanced training allowed me to develop specialist skills in managing spinal conditions such as degenerative disc disease, spinal trauma, infections, and tumours.
