I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon with over a decade of experience and prior to consultant appointment one of the earliest surgeons to undertake the Royal College of Surgeons pelvic uro-oncology (urological cancers) fellowship.
This training and experience has put me in a very good position to lead on delivery of urological cancer services at Croydon University Hospital and be part of the urology pelvic cancer team at St. George’s Hospital.
Following sustained improvements to delivery of the urological cancer service in Croydon Hospital, I was appointed as Cancer Lead in the hospital in order to oversee the quality of cancer diagnosis and treatment for the population of the borough.
To date I have conducted over 1,000 bladder tumour removal for cancers (endoscopic resection, TURBT) and a similar number of prostate resections (TURP) for men with difficulty passing urine.
I provide consultations for other specialist teams needing urological expertise, such as gynaecological cancers and endometriosis, and I am part of the endometriosis multidisciplinary team at Croydon University Hospital.
I am also part of the team at St. George’s Hospital that performs robotic radical cystectomy operations for advanced bladder cancers.
One of my roles is to lead on training (at Croydon University Hospital) urology trainees in managing urological cancers and until recently I was part of the FRCS part one examination questions writing group.

I am the Clinical Lead for Cancer and Urological Cancers MDT lead at Croydon University Hospital. My role also includes being the hospital’s Principle Investigator for several national/international trials in the urology cancer space.
