I am a Fellowship-trained Robotic Urological Surgeon with expertise in urological cancers involving the prostate and bladder. Upon completing urological training, I was accepted into the highly coveted Robotic Fellowship at the Internationally-renowned and highest volume robotic pelvic cancer surgery centre in the UK at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). Here, I learned the innovative Complete Urethral Preservation (CUP) technique from mentor, Professor Greg Shaw to improve functional outcomes after Robotic Prostatectomy.
In addition to my sub-specialist practice, I have broad expertise in managing general urological conditions including urinary tract infections (UTI), kidney stones, testicular lumps and testicular pain, blood in the urine (haematuria) or semen (haematospermia), incontinence and erectile dysfunction.
I currently work as a substantive Consultant Urological Surgeon at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
I completed surgical and urological training in the North East England Urology Rotation, where I was awarded the prestigious Shear’s Northern Research Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons England for my work on prostate cancer at Newcastle University. I was also undertaken an International Clinical observership under world-renowned Professor Ash Tewari at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York City, USA and also at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), NYC under Dr Timothy Donahue and Dr Jonathan Coleman.
I am currently a Prostate Cancer UK (PCUK) “Clinical Champion” and also a “Future Surgical Leader” with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
I am an active researcher and strong advocate for Men’s health issues. I have published and presented at many National and International conferences. I have also received several Grants to aid my research and scientific endeavours.
