I have been a consultant in General Surgery for over 25 years and have been the bariatric surgeon for Walsall Manor Hospital since 1992. I have a specialist interest in vascular surgery, obesity, weight loss surgery and laparoscopy (keyhole surgery).

I am particularly experienced in weight loss surgery and have performed several thousand weight-reducing operations including gastroplasties, laparoscopic gastric banding and balloon insertions, open and laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery. Biliopancreatic bypass, mini gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. I also perform redo-weight loss surgery for patients with weight regain and complications.

My special interests are vascular surgery including carotids under local anaesthetic, varicose veins and all other aspects of vascular surgery and treatment of hyperhidrosis and facial blushing. I'm also interested in laparoscopic surgery including open and laparoscopic hernias as well as inguinal and incisional, gallbladders, varicocele and anti-reflux surgery.
