I am an experienced consultant surgeon, with an extensive practice in two main areas. Firstly I have a very busy high volume NHS and private practice treating groin (inguinal) and abdominal wall hernias. Secondly I am a specialist in the surgical treatment of benign and malignant conditions of the liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts.   

I have a particular interest in complex gallbladder disease and routinely take referrals from other surgeons across the region for difficult or unusual gallbladder problems. I am one of a very small team of specialists in the region who is qualified to repair serious complications from gallbladder surgery which can occur.

I routinely use robotic keyhole surgery for major resections of the liver, pancreas and bile ducts as well as complex gallbladder disease and am one of the highest volume surgeons in the UK for this type of surgery. I am a strong believer in minimally invasive surgery in this setting and the improved benefits for patients in terms of recovery and reduction in complications.   

I generally see patients from across the South Central coast of England, Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands, but also accept referrals for patients from across the UK and international patients.
