MBChB, MsC, MD(Res), FRCOG
I am a Consultant Gynaecologist and Gynaecological Oncologist with over 15 years of specialist experience, caring for women with both complex benign conditions and gynaecological cancers. My practice covers the full spectrum of women’s health, from advanced endometriosis, ovarian cysts and fibroids, to the diagnosis and surgical treatment of ovarian, uterine, cervical and rare pelvic tumours. I am highly experienced in advanced ultrasound scanning, which allows me to accurately assess pelvic pathology and plan the most appropriate treatment, often avoiding unnecessary procedures
I have particular expertise in minimally invasive surgery, offering robotic and laparoscopic (keyhole) techniques that support faster recovery, less pain and better outcomes. I also perform radical and ultra-radical surgery for advanced pelvic disease and recurrent cancer, including complex bowel and bladder involvement. Many of my patients are referred for second opinions or challenging cases that require specialist decision-making. Alongside my clinical work, I serve as an Associate Professor at King’s College London and a Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, actively involved in research, teaching and training future surgeons. I am committed to combining surgical excellence with compassionate, personalised care for every woman I treat.
I specialise in: gynaecological oncology surgery, advanced endometriosis surgery, robotic and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, complex benign gynaecology, ovarian cysts and pelvic masses, fibroid and adenomyosis surgery, fertility-preserving surgery, ultra-radical pelvic cancer surgery, diagnostic and advanced pelvic ultrasound, second opinions and complex case referrals.
Over the course of my career, I have performed more than 3,000 major gynaecological operations, including over 1,500 cancer surgeries for ovarian, uterine, cervical and rare pelvic tumours. I have carried out over 800 minimally invasive procedures, using both robotic and laparoscopic techniques, and completed over 500 complex endometriosis surgeries, often involving the bowel, bladder and pelvic sidewall. In addition, I have extensive experience in benign gynaecological surgery, having treated more than 1,000 cases of ovarian cysts, fibroids and pelvic pain. My operative practice spans both NHS and private sectors, with many patients referred to me for complex or second-opinion surgery
Alongside my clinical practice, I hold academic roles as an Associate Professor at King’s College London and Senior Lecturer at Imperial College. I am an active clinical researcher in gynaecological oncology, ultrasound diagnostics and minimally invasive surgery, with over 200 peer-reviewed publications in international medical journals. My work has been widely cited, and I have a Google Scholar h-index of over 45, reflecting global impact and contribution to medical science. I regularly lecture and train surgeons internationally, contribute to expert guidelines and serve on editorial boards for scientific journals. I remain committed to advancing women’s health through research, education and surgical innovation.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family and my children, and I value quiet moments away from the operating theatre. I have a passion for football and long walks, which help me clear my mind and stay balanced. I also enjoy reading, writing and mentoring young doctors, which allows me to give back to the profession. My work is demanding, but I believe strongly in maintaining compassion, humility and faith in everything I do.
