I am a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist with more than 25 years of clinical practice. I am a Substantive Consultant at East Surrey Hospital, where I provide expert, compassionate care across the full spectrum of general and specialist gynaecology.
My clinical philosophy is founded on a patient-centred, holistic approach, ensuring that every woman receives care that is not only medically sound but also emotionally supportive and individually tailored. I place great emphasis on clear communication, patient education, and shared decision-making, helping my patients feel informed, reassured, and empowered throughout their treatment journey.
Over the course of my career, I have developed significant expertise in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, with a particular focus on operative hysteroscopy, laparoscopic procedures, and laparoscopic and abdominal hysterectomy. I routinely perform procedures for the management of menstrual disorders, fibroids, pelvic pain, endometrial polyps, cervical smear, cervical polyps, Bartholin's cyst, ovarian cysts, benign vulval conditions, menopause, hormone replacement therapy, postmenopausal bleeding and bleeding on HRT and other benign gynaecological conditions, helping my patients achieve effective outcomes with reduced recovery times and minimal discomfort.
I am deeply committed to advancing women’s health through evidence-based, personalised treatments. I actively contribute to clinical service development, medical education, and quality improvement within my department, and have led several successful initiatives. Along with a colleague, I helped establish a community outpatient hysteroscopy service in Surrey and currently lead the obstetric simulation training programme at East Surrey Hospital. I am a past gynaecology lead at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and have over 10 years’ experience as a medical appraiser. I have also contributed to national research trials such as CAESAR, PRISM, and REGAL, and I serve as faculty for the Advanced Hysteroscopy Course at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Additionally, I am a clinical and educational supervisor to resident doctors and enjoy all aspects of teaching.
I have been granted ISGE Certified Practitioner status in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), having successfully completed the course and examination with the International Society of Gynaecological Endocrinology (ISGE).
In addition to my NHS role, I also practice privately at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital, where I offer consultations, diagnostic assessments, and surgical procedures in a comfortable, modern environment. I continue to champion high-quality, safe, and compassionate gynaecological care for women at every stage of life.
