BSc
I have worked at Spire since September 2019. I qualified as a physiotherapist in 1998, gaining a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Liverpool University.
After completing 2 years of junior rotations in all core areas of physiotherapy, I specialised in respiratory. I then completed a further 3 years of rotations in different areas within respiratory, before becoming a clinical specialist and then advanced practitioner physiotherapist.
I have completed Master's level modules to complement my clinical work and have lectured nationally and internationally on various aspects of respiratory physiotherapy, particularly breathing pattern management. I have also co-written and edited national evidence-based physiotherapy guidelines and systematic research reviews, and been actively involved in respiratory physiotherapy research.
I can provide all aspects of respiratory physiotherapy but have a particular interest in optimisation of sputum clearance, breathlessness management, correcting breathing pattern disorders and managing problematic cough.
