I am an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist with over 10 years of experience in the NHS. I am an expert in diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy and conditions of the oesophagus, stomach, small and large bowel like dyspepsia, reflux disease, liver and pancreatic conditions, gastrointestinal polyps and early cancer diagnosis and treatment. I have been clinical service lead for endoscopy in Heartlands and Solihull hospitals and championed some of the advanced endoscopic treatments for complex polyps and early cancer treatments in the gastrointestinal tract.
I specialise in diagnosis and treatment of dyspepsia, reflux, changes in bowels, conditions of the oesophagus, stomach and bowel, gastrointestinal polyps and early cancer in the bowel. I also specialise in biliary and pancreatic disorders such as bile duct stones, chronic pancreatitis and medical and endoscopic treatments of biliary and pancreatic conditions. I undertake diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures like gastroscopy (OGD) and colonoscopy, with biopsies or polyp resection in the gastrointestinal tract. Furthermore, I offer a range of services including colonoscopy polyp removal, diagnostic colonoscopy under sedation, second opinions on complex cases.
I have performed over 10,000 gastroscopies and colonoscopies to date. In addition to this, I have also performed over 1,000 complex polyp resections and have accepted referrals from other colleagues for opinion or treatment of complex cases.
Alongside my consultant post, I also serve as the Clinical Lead for Endoscopy in Heartlands and Solihull hospitals. I am actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, which allows me to share my experience and expertise with the next generation of doctors. I have organised some of the first training courses in gastrointestinal endoscopy for trainees in gastroenterology in the Trust.
I have served on European Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) Quality Improvement Committee and have a keen interest in improvement and quality in endoscopy.
I have published several research papers in esteemed journals in gastroenterology and endoscopy and have authored several book chapters on the topic.
I pride myself in collaborative, open and informative approach with my patients, involving the patients in the process of diagnosis and treatment of their conditions. I strive to provide the best and up-to-date care for my patients.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter and walks in the nature. I love to travel and explore different places and cultures. I am a keen motorcyclist and enjoy listening to a variety of music genres, particularly classical and 80's/90's rock.
