I have been a Consultant Medical Oncologist since 2022, and current Head of Service for Oncology at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. I am an expert in the management of thoracic cancers (lung, mesothelioma), hepato-pancreato-biliary cancers (liver,bile duct, pancreas), and neuroendocrine tumours.
My approach has been to practice evidence based medicine and to combine clinical excellence with compassionate care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for my patients.
I am currently the clinical lead for thoracic oncology at Leicester.
I completed my Medical Oncology training in Leicester. During my training, I also completed a MD Research degree from the University of Leicester focusing on Epithelial Mesenchymal Transition in Mesothelioma. My prior training includes basic medical training at the University of Mauritius, followed by an internal medicine residency at the National University Health System, Singapore. I've also completed a Master's degree in Health Economics, Policy and Management from the London School of Economics, with an interest in improving healthcare delivery and accessibility.
I'm an active researcher and serve as a Chief and Principal Investigator in various international clinical trials including early phase trials. I have contributed to and published in high impact journals including Nature. I have been invited to speak and present at major conferences.
I have got extensive experience in the use of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy.
