I am a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in adult gynaecology conditions and perinatal mental health. My NHS practice is at East Cheshire NHS Trust where I lead the Ambulatory Gynaecology Service. In addition I am Lead for perinatal mental health. I qualified in 1996 and commenced my postgraduate training in the London Northwest Thames region. I subsequently continued my training in Manchester and the Northwest region. I completed my specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in 2015.
My special interests include menstrual problems, abnormal vaginal bleeding, fibroids, menopause, postmenopausal problems, hysteroscopic surgery, subfertility, reproductive health, PCOS, contraception including coil removal/insertion and vulval issues.
I have an interest in teaching and training. I am an educational supervisor for obstetric and gynaecology trainees, GP trainees and medical students. As a reflection of my seniority and contribution to women's health, I was elected Fellow of The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2024.
