I am a consultant gastroenterologist and endoscopist, practising in Hertfordshire and north London. I have been a consultant since 2019.
I am a nationally accredited colonoscopist for the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme. I am also a specialist in the management of a broad range of conditions, including heartburn, reflux, abdominal pain and bloating, diarrhoea and constipation.
I perform hundreds of endoscopic procedures each year, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, wireless capsule endoscopy, and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy.
I qualified at the University of Cambridge and University College London, graduating with Distinction in Clinical Practice. I hold a PhD in the organisational delivery of medical care, from Imperial College London. I have published papers in some of the world's leading medical journals, including the BMJ and JAMA Internal Medicine, and was a finalist in the Health Service Journal awards.
I specialise in bowel cancer screening, endoscopy and advanced colonoscopy, as well as general gastroenterology and the management of new and chronic digestive symptoms.
I have significant experience in managing bowel polyps, irritable bowel syndrome, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, coeliac disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
I have performed thousands of upper GI endoscopies, colonoscopies, and polypectomies. I am nationally accredited for bowel cancer screening colonoscopy and undertakes complex endoscopic mucosal resection.
