MBBS, MS, FRCOG
I am a Consultant Gynaecologist with 22 years of experience helping women with their health concerns. I currently work at University Hospitals of Leicester as a full time NHS consultant. I also see private patients at Spire Hospital, Leicester through Virgule Health and truly believe in improving Women's Health.
I trained in obstetrics and gynaecology and have worked in India, Wales, and across the East Midlands, giving me a wide range of experience in caring for women with different gynaecology needs. I also hold management roles, including Gynaecology Lead in Kettering and Early Pregnancy and Acute Gynaecology Lead in Leicester and Guidelines and PILs Lead in Leicester.
I offer support and treatment for a wide range of women’s health issues and different gynaecology related concerns, including:
I have a special interest in period problems and ambulatory gynaecology, recurrent miscarriages, menopause and early pregnancy.
I have been working in the NHS and private sector for a good few years now. Having worked and trained in India, Wales, and England, I feel confident and empowered to see women and help them with different health concerns and gynaecology conditions. I am always approachable and happy to help them in their health journey and make a real difference.
I have been involved in charity and community health work wherever possible. I worked and led a project while working in Kettering in association with Brown Dog Cancer charity and raised £60,000 to get a brand-new GE Voluson ultrasound machine to help all women with different menstrual and bleeding problems.
I regularly do community education and talks for Women’s Health for all ages and related to Menopause too. I have been invited as a guest speaker in charity, community, and private health settings, face-to-face and virtually, to do these talks and educate and empower women not only in the UK but in India too.
I am known by my patients and colleagues as approachable, kind, and easy to talk to. I believe in listening carefully, explaining clearly, and working together with each woman to find the best way forward.
