Dr Neil McGill
BM, DA, FRCA
After training at the Wessex School of Anaesthesia, I worked in two world leading centres of clinical excellence as an Associate Professor in Anesthesiology. My experience at both the University of Michigan and the University of Chicago gained me an international reputation in anaesthesia. I returned to the UK in 2005.
I now work at Southampton University Hospital and Spire Southampton Hospital. My special interests are in interventional oncology, bariatric anaesthesia, oesophageal surgery, thoracic surgery and spinal surgical anaesthesia in both children and adults. I am the secretary of the National Association of Spinal Anaesthetists and my research interests are in strategies for avoiding blood transfusion and neuromuscular blockade. I am also an Instructor of Advanced Paediatric Life Support.
