MBBS, MRCP, MD, CCT
I am a consultant interventional cardiologist at Hull University teaching Hospitals. I specialise in cardiac catheterisation and angioplasty.
My main interest is complex angioplasty including chronic total occlusions managing chronic angina. I also have an interest in managing patients with uncontrolled hypertension (Blood pressure) and renal denervation therapy. I see patients with all aspects of general cardiology.
I have done more than 2,000 coronary angioplasties and 10,000 angiograms with very good outcomes. I also perform renal denervation in the NHS which is an adjunctive treatment to tablets in managing severe resistant hypertension.
I did my medical degree with multiple academic distinctions, and I am a member of the Royal College of Physicians. I was trained in interventional cardiology in Birmingham, West Midlands, where I received a certificate of completion of training in Cardiology. I did my Doctor in Medicine (M.D) by research through University of Birmingham and have had several publications in international journals. In addition, I am the cardiology educational lead and the training Program Director for the East Yorkshire and Humber deanery.
