I am a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, where I serve as the Lead Consultant for Pain Clinic Services at Worcester NHS Hospitals. I provide specialist assessment and treatment for patients with chronic pain across Worcester and Worcestershire, delivering evidence‑based, multidisciplinary care.
I have extensive experience in managing chronic pain of multiple causes, using a combination of treatments tailored to each individual. These include medications, TENS therapy, image‑guided injections, and close collaboration with physiotherapists and psychologists to reduce pain, improve function, and minimise disability.
I have a particular interest in the management of lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica and leg pain, neuropathic pain, neuralgias, arm and shoulder pain, and chest wall pain.
I am also highly experienced in the management of cancer‑related pain, using advanced pain management techniques, and am recognised as one of the most experienced consultants in this area within Worcestershire.
I regularly perform a comprehensive range of pain relief interventions, including epidural injections, facet joint injections, nerve root blocks, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency denervation, sympathetic nerve blocks, trigger point injections and intrathecal neurolytic blocks.
These procedures are offered as part of a structured pain management pathway for patients across Worcester and the surrounding region.
I completed specialist training in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine through the West Midlands Deanery rotational training scheme, followed by advanced training in pain management. I hold the Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FFPMRCA) from the Royal College of Anaesthetists, London.
I am actively involved in teaching and education, delivering lectures on national and international courses for anaesthetic examinations, and have contributed to academic publications and textbooks in pain medicine.
