I am an accomplished Consultant in Pain Medicine and Neuromodulation with over 10 years of experience. I bring extensive expertise and comprehensive patient care to my clinical practice and stay abreast of innovative medical education and implement research based medicine. I was awarded a PhD for my ground breaking work on brain responses to spinal cord stimulation in chronic back and leg pain patients, which exemplifies my passion for advancing knowledge in the field.
I perform a wide array of advanced and conventional procedures to achieve excellence in pain management. These include diagnostic medical branch blocks, transforaminal epidural, radiofrequency and pulse radiofrequency, sacroiliac joint injection, stellate ganglion block, lignocaine infusions for fibromyalgia and Botox injection for Chronic migraine and muscle spasms.
I also offer anti-CGRP (Gepants and Mabs) for migraine, spinal cord stimulation, sacral nerve stimulator for pelvic pains, dorsal root ganglion stimulator for focal pain and CRPS, multifidus stimulation (Backache) and occipital nerve stimulation (Migraine and cluster headache).
My patients commend my empathetic and compassionate approach to the care I provide and its impact on their improvement. I am an expert in back and neck pain, sciatica, brachialgia, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), migraine and cluster headaches, rotator cuff syndrome/frozen shoulder, shingles, inguinal and peri-anal pains, pelvic and abdominal pains, and fibromyalgia. My treatments involve strategic escalation from simple steroid injections/Botox to radiofrequency ablation, to advance neurostimulation techniques pertinent to conditions and based on NICE guidance.
I am a world expert and educator on minimally invasive 'Neurostimulation techniques' for range of conditions and a pioneer in implementing the latest cutting edge antiCGRP therapies for chronic migraine and cluster headaches. My strategic and compassionate approach to fibromyalgia, from holistic education to infusion therapies, have benefited multitude of patients.
I am proficient in multidisciplinary collaboration and developing comprehensive treatment strategies alongside other specialists and understand the concept of a true holistic care in pain management.
Current Academic Activity
Lead for PG certification in neuromodulation, QMUL: I am leading on developing and delivering this unique university accredited first educational initiative in Neuromodulation. This is 60 credits, 4 module, fully online course delivered through one year with a great deal of flexibility. The course is live on university website for the Sep 2022 intake
Co-Director for William Harvey Research Institute Executive Education Progarm in Neuromodulation (EEPIN): I have been instrumental in conception and delivery of this unique short executive program in Neuromodulation, which laid the foundation of PG certification in neuromodulation course. This program was run twice over last year 2021, with the lectures delivered by “world renowned” academics for the doctors, nurses, health care professionals and field clinical engineers who wanted to develop essential understanding and knowledge to building their career in the field. Based on phenomenal feedback and demand of purpose-built education, the course will be continued every year with the award of completion in the form of university certificate. I envisage EEPIN to be the building block and benchmark of the training in the specialty.
