I have been a Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist for over 11 years and I am an expert in all aspects of liver disease, working at one of only seven liver transplant units in the UK. I also have extensive experience with bowel disease.

I specialise in liver disease, with specific interests in alcohol-related liver disease, viral hepatitis, liver failure and liver transplantation. I carry out upper GI endoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and ERCP (examination of the bile and pancreatic ducts).

I carry out approximately 300 upper GI endoscopy, I also carry out approximately 100 ERCP per year.

In addition to my clinical work, I am proud to be an honorary senior clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham.

I have formed the Birmingham Liver Clinic with colleagues from the Liver Unit in Birmingham, to provide the best in care for private patients with liver disease.
