Dr Ching Ching (Stephanie) Yung

I am a Consultant Allergist at the Allergy Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital, one of the UK's leading allergy services and the only dedicated allergist-led allergy centre in North West England.

I provide specialist assessment and management for patients aged 16 years and over with a wide range of allergic conditions, including food allergy, drug allergy, venom and latex allergy, anaphylaxis, hay fever (allergic rhino-conjunctivitis), urticaria (hives), angioedema (swelling), asthma and eczema. I have particular expertise in allergy diagnostics, including skin prick testing, specific IgE blood testing, food and drug provocation (challenge) testing. I also have extensive experience in providing allergen immunotherapy (desensitisation) for appropriate patients.

I am dual accredited as a specialist in Respiratory Medicine in Hong Kong and Allergy in the UK. I was awarded a prestigious NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship in Allergy and completed my specialist training at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, London. I have also achieved the European (EAACI/UEMS) Knowledge Examination in Allergology and Clinical Immunology.

Allergic conditions can have a significant impact on quality of life, and I take a thorough and individualised approach to assessing each patient's symptoms, concerns, and treatment goals. I work closely with my patients to provide clear explanations, evidence-based recommendations, and an personalised management plan tailored to their needs.
