I am a grassroots General Practitioner who has worked in various roles within health services since I was 14, but as a GP for the past 7 years. At heart I am an "old school" GP; I enjoy getting to know patients and what the issues are for that person.
I am a expert in General Practice and have a special interest in primary care dermatology.
I have worked in a number of specialties during my training including in Ears Nose and Throat (ENT), general surgery, paediatrics, cardiology, psychiatry, dermatology and acute & emergency medicine.
I am currently based at Stainland Road Medical Centre in Calderdale, where I am involved with training our next generation of doctors and allied healthcare professionals. As a Medical Centre we also participate in ground-breaking research projects such as early cancer detection blood tests.

In my spare time I enjoy travelling and especially learning about different cultures, gardening, walking and swimming. Outside of medicine I also work in the Wine and Spirits Industry having completed certifications with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) at Level 2 of Wines, Spirits and Beers. I particularly enjoy organising, and teaching at tasting events.
