I am a consultant neurologist at Spire Leeds. I have been a consultant in Leeds since 2006 and see a full spectrum of neurological conditions in my practice including common problems such as epilepsy, headache and movement disorders. I also have a subspecialty interest in stroke medicine and work on the acute stroke unit at Leeds General Infirmary as well as in outpatients.

I was an undergraduate at Oxford and then Kings College London, qualifying in 1994. I trained in neurology locally in Leeds as well as at St George's Hospital London, where I spent three years on my PhD thesis on the genetics of cerebrovascular disease.

I am the stroke research lead at the LGI and currently involved in a number of research trials sponsored by major charitable funding bodies including the Stroke Association and British Heart Foundation.

I have published extensively in stroke and neurology journals.
