I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Worcester with over 10 years’ experience, specialising in foot and ankle surgery and complex trauma care. My principal interest is foot and ankle surgery, with particular expertise in ankle replacement, complex foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, and complex fracture fixation.
I provide both NHS and private foot and ankle surgery in Worcester, offering evidence‑based care for routine, complex, and revision conditions.
I routinely perform a full range of foot and ankle surgical procedures, including bunion (hallux valgus) correction, flat foot reconstruction, ankle replacement (total ankle arthroplasty) for osteoarthritis, ankle fusion (arthrodesis), ankle ligament repair and reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), cartilage reconstruction surgery, midfoot and hindfoot fusion surgery for arthritis, surgery for rheumatoid arthritis affecting the foot and ankle.
I have a special interest in multilevel and complex foot and ankle surgery, particularly where multiple joints or deformities are involved.
Alongside elective practice, I have extensive experience in trauma surgery, with a strong focus on complex foot and ankle fractures, including calcaneal (heel bone) fractures, talus fractures, Lisfranc injuries, complex ankle fractures and pilon fractures.
I regularly manage fractures requiring advanced reconstruction techniques to restore alignment, stability and long‑term function.
I completed my specialist orthopaedic training at the Oxford Deanery in 2012, followed by a BOFAS‑recognised Foot and Ankle Fellowship, an International Foot and Ankle Fellowship in Switzerland under Professor Hintermann, gaining advanced experience in ankle replacement and complex hindfoot reconstruction and a Frame Fellowship at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, under Professor M. McNally, focusing on limb reconstruction and complex deformity correction.
I worked for nine years at Cheltenham and Gloucester NHS Trust before moving to Worcester in 2021, where I now practise as a Consultant Foot and Ankle and Trauma Orthopaedic Surgeon.
My previous experience includes complex reconstructive surgery, including deformity correction, non‑union surgery and complex knee and ankle osteotomy.
I am experienced in a full range of fixation methods, including plating techniques, intramedullary nailing, Ilizarov and Taylor Spatial Frame reconstruction.
I have also introduced new techniques to foot and ankle services, including bridge plating technique for Lisfranc injuries, talus HemiCAP implantation, matrix‑Induced Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation (MACI) for cartilage defects and hamstring graft reconstruction of the deltoid ligament.
My approach combines advanced surgical expertise, modern reconstructive techniques, and a patient‑centred philosophy, ensuring individuals in Worcester receive personalised care aimed at pain relief, function restoration, and long‑term outcomes.
