I became a consultant in 2003. I work with a team of 13 orthopaedic surgeons, each of us sub-specialising and together, are able to provide most aspects of modern orthopaedic surgery.
My expertise is lower limb surgery and in particular, treating painful and arthritic conditions of the hip and knee. I also provide a service for knee arthroscopy and knee ligament reconstruction, following sports injuries. I undertook Fellowships in Australia and the USA, where I was trained in key aspects of modern revision hip and knee surgery.
I receive referrals from my colleagues for treatment of complex lower limb injuries. Where surgery is required, I am able to offer a less invasive surgical fracture fixation. With all patients, I aim to explain the cause of their pain and the options available for treatment.

I am married with two teenage children. Family life is important to me. We enjoy travelling and outdoor activities, including skiing and sailing and more locally dog walking. I am a Governor of The Grange School, Cheshire's leading independent school and take an interest in specialist needs requirements. I am 100% bilingual.
