I trained in general ENT surgery at Bristol, Cardiff, Newport and Cape Town (South Africa). My subspecialty interests are in otology and paediatric ENT surgery, with a special interest in paediatric laryngeal and tracheal disease. In the field of otology I am involved with cochlear implants, bone anchored hearing aids and middle ear surgery for chronic infection and deafness. I spent a years research at the nasal research centre, Cardiff, and continue to have an interest in rhinology, including structural (cosmetic) as well as functional nasal surgery. I run a regular voice clinic and am a member of the British Voice Association.
