I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at St George's Hospital, London since 2008 with special interests in foot and ankle surgery and complex trauma reconstruction. I set up the Foot and Ankle unit there. Since then the unit has expanded and is now a tertiary referral centre.
I specialise in foot and ankle surgery, managing both the elective conditions such as bunions and arthritis as well as injuries that occur.
I graduated from St George’s Hospital London, and undertook my Orthopaedic training in South East England. To complement my general orthopaedic training, I had 18 months specialist training in foot and ankle surgery and also spent two years in a centre for complex trauma and limb reconstruction.
I am an examiner for Medical School Finals examinations, and regularly teach at national education meetings.
Alongside my busy clinical practice, I have a keen interest in educating surgeons of the future. Having been regional director of Orthopaedic training for six years, I am now the Deputy Head of London School of Surgery.
I am also the chair of the London Orthopaedic Training Committee and Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee of another local private hospital.
