I am a consultant HPB (hepato-pancreato-biliary) surgeon and have an interest in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. My clinical practice includes complex liver surgery and day case laparoscopic procedures including gallbladder and hernia surgery.
I am the Clinical Lead for neuroendocrine tumours at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and HPB Expert Committee Advisory Group Lead for the East Midlands. In addition, I currently am the East Midlands representative for the British Association of Surgical Oncology (BASO).
I am also actively involved in research of liver cancer and have published widely on HPB surgery. I was awarded a higher degree, MD, as a Doctor of Medicine with a commendation for basic science research on markers of liver regeneration.
I am an Honorary Associate Professor for the University of Nottingham, involved in research of medical devices in liver surgery and biological markers of cholangiocarcinoma.

My main sporting interest is football. When I’m not working I still play football and organise the weekly football for Nottingham University Hospitals.
As well as being a fan of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, I enjoy travelling and also cooking, especially cuisines from the Far East.
