Virtual consultations:
I am a very experienced shoulder surgeon. I qualified in 1982 in South Africa. I then went on to complete my Orthopaedic training in the UK under the guidance of several leading shoulder surgeons in London and Reading. I am a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals, where I run the shoulder unit. My experience means I am often a source of support for colleagues when seeking opinions for more complex cases.
My enthusiasm for teaching makes me a popular trainer. I teach shoulder surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons as well as training and examining for FRCS (Orth) examinations.
My main specialist interest is shoulder surgery – particularly shoulder joint replacements using traditional and new minimally invasive techniques. I treat all conditions of the shoulder including sports injuries, rotator cuff injuries and shoulder instability or dislocations.
My enthusiasm for my field and surgery and my ability to explain conditions clearly puts my patients at ease. This passion for surgery is only matched by my love for classic motor cars.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Dan Rossouw at Spire include:
Orthopaedics

Royal Free London NHS Trust.
I have an enthusiastic approach to work and teaching. I enjoy playing golf and am keen on classic motors.
