MBBS, MSC, MD, MRCP
I qualified from University College, London in 1991. I trained in general medicine and rheumatology at St Bartholomew's, Charing Cross and the Hammersmith hospitals and the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, London. I have completed a doctoral thesis on issues concerned with the assessment of early inflammatory arthritis and biological therapy following research undertaken at the Kennedy Institute.
My current clinical practice is broad and involves the entire spectrum of rheumatological disease but I am particularly interested in inflammatory arthritis, soft tissue disease and osteoporosis.
I have published on these and related topics and was involved with early clinical trials on the use of novel biological agents in rheumatoid arthritis. During my earlier training I completed a Master's degree in immunology and retain an interest in the immunology of rheumatic disease.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Sundeept Bhalara at Spire include:
Consultant Rheumatologist and General Physician, West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust General Hospital.
Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist, Charing Cross Hospital and The Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology.
I am married with two young children. My interests include travelling, horse riding, skiing, badminton and reading.
