Dr Robin Corkill
BSc, MBBS, MRCP, CCST, MD
I qualified in medicine at Charing Cross and Westminster medical school in London in 1992. After completing my MD using advanced imaging techniques in normal pressure hydrocephalus in Oxford, I went on to complete my higher professional training in Manchester. Here I developed an interest in early onset dementia with the internationally recognised team responsible for clarifying the clinical features of some of the most common dementia syndromes.
Working as a consultant neurologist in South East Wales I run the Cardiff early onset dementia service providing a diagnostic service for challenging and atypical cases. I see and treat the whole spectrum of general neurological disease in my role as visiting neurologist to Mountain Ash and Prince Charles hospitals whilst being based 3 days a week at the University hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
