Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Gary Jackson at Spire include:
Psychiatry, anxiety disorders, depression, addictions, eating disorders and bipolar disorder.
I qualified in medicine in 1982. I went on to specialise in Psychiatry, training at Oxford, University College London (UCL) and the Maudsley. I did a year of research work in the psychological effects of trauma and then took an academic Psychiatry post at UCL with an Honorary NHS Consultant post in Camden and Islington. Since 1993 I have also been practising privately in Essex and am the Medical Director of the Priory Hospital in Chelmsford.
I treat adults with all kinds of psychiatric illness, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders such as panic and OCD, eating disorders and addictions. I work with psychologists and therapists to provide a comprehensive service to my private patients. I also work alongside the NHS services when appropriate, in caring for my patients. I am recognised by all the UK private health insurers and also see self paying patients. I am able to make time available at short notice to see new patients.
I am available at the Spire Wellesley Hospital on Wednesday afternoon and evening, but can usually be made available for new appointments within 24 hours. I welcome appropriate patients wishing to refer and pay for treatment themselves without the need for a GP letter of referral. Please call 01702 447 926 for more information.
