I am UK trained and qualified in both dentistry and medicine at the Royal London Hospital. After completing these I went onto the prestigious South Coast programme for general surgical training and specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Training. My specialties encompass, head and neck cancer, skin cancer, salivary gland surgery including minimal access, facial trauma, facial pain and oral surgery.
I was awarded first place in a competition for the National Intercollegiate Head and Neck specialist Fellowship which I undertook in Birmingham, a world renowned Head and Neck unit, while also taking the opportunity to visit other centres of excellence like Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.
I am currently the clinical Lead for the Oral and Maxillofacial unit on the Isle of Wight and lead the multidisciplinary team in Skin Cancer. I am an examiner for the exit fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and I sit on the National Council of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons – a position elected by my peers nationally.

I am also an Editorial Board member of the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. I have previously been an Advanced Trauma and Life Support Instructor and have just been accepted to the internationally renowned AO UK as a faculty member. I am also a faculty member of the prestigious European Head and Neck Course and organise the International Head and Neck update and Face courses. I have been involved in over 50 peer reviewed publications.
