I lead the breast cancer team and chair the multidisciplinary team at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital. I was certified as best student at national level in general surgery in August 1997 and was awarded a gold medal in my final examination for the Diploma of National Board, India. I commenced my higher surgical training in Oxford Deanery and continued as a specialist registrar in Southwest Thames surgical rotation in the London Deanery.
I trained at various hospitals including St George's Hospital (London), Ashford and St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and worked as a senior registrar in the oncoplastic breast unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton.
After the completion of my training, I was appointed as a locum consultant breast and oncoplastic surgeon at the Royal Surrey County Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital before my substantive appointment at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust as the consultant breast and oncoplastic surgeon.
I am a fully-accredited breast and oncoplastic surgeon on the GMC's Specialist Register. I have published as first or senior author in journals on clinical management of breast cancer and techniques. I am a dedicated breast surgeon who takes special interest in teaching various oncoplastic procedures for breast conservation and avoid mastectomy in selected patients with breast cancer.

Special Clinical Interests: Diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, including breast reconstructive surgery. Sentinel node biopsy for breast cancer. Expert in offering various types of breast reconstruction tailored to patients individual need eg simple implant based reconstruction, latissimus dorsi breast reconstruction and autologous extended LD flap reconstruction without implant. Breast reduction and enlargement. Nipple reconstruction. Management of breast pain and benign lumps. Risk management strategies for patients at increased risk from genetic or familial factors. Breast lipomodelling fat transfer.
