Premium cataract/lens surgery service, for monovision, since 1984, using Toric Intraocular Lenses where indicated allowing the majority of patients’ to not wear glasses most of the time.
Premium glaucoma service with Schlemm’s Canal Glaucoma Surgery, since 1997 (Enhanced viscocanalostomy and canaloplasty).

Mr Peckar has been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon since September 1983, specialising in ophthalmic surgery of the front of the eye which he teaches internationally.
He trained at St Thomas’ Hospital, London where he won the Hudson Prize in Ophthalmology (1971) and was Research Senior Registrar at Oxford University, being awarded an MSc degree in 1983. He was an examiner for FRCS and MRCS at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, 1997-2003. He was also an associate editor of the European Journal of Implant and Refractive Surgery, 1990-1995 after which he was appointed medical editor of EuroTimes, a publication by the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), with a monthly worldwide distribution of 41,000 copies, from 1995 to 2016.
Mr Peckar received the American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award in May 2010. He also received the Gold Achievement Award from the United Kingdom and Ireland Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (UKISCRS), in 2010, in recognition of distinguished service.
In 2011 he was awarded the Pearce Medal from UKISCRS and in 2016 he received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his glaucoma surgery work.
