Professional profile
A graduate and fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Research Fellow at the Medical College of Virginia. Surgical registrar at the Royal London Hospital and Senior registrar Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge. Fellowship in colorectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Appointed as consultant colorectal and general surgeon in 1998, where I am lead clinician for inflammatory bowel disease surgery and nutrition. I perform a range of colorectal and hernia surgery procedures at Spire Murrayfield Hospital. Also particularly interested in colonoscopy, colonoscopic polypectomy and colon cancer prevention.

Full range of colorectal surgery and hernia surgery, including bowel cancer and inflammatory bowel disease surgery. I have a particular interest in anal rectal surgery and in particular fistula in ano.
