MD, FRCOG
I have been a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for over 11 years. As the Lead Colposcopist at Frimley Park Hospital for many years and now the Lead for Gynaecological Oncology at Frimley, I gained a high degree of experience in diagnosing and treating all types of gynaecological cancers.
I specialise in general gynaecological surgery with specific interest in Gynaecological Cancers like cervical, endometrial, ovarian, vulval and vaginal cancers. At Frimley, I run clinics for vulval disorders, abnormal smears, two-week referrals, general gynaecology and cancer follow-ups.
To date I have performed more than 2,500 laparoscopies, over 3,000 hysteroscopies, over 4,000 colposcopies and close to 1,000 hysterectomies (including abdominal, vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic hysterectomies) over a 15 year period in both my NHS and private practice.
I completed the Advanced Training Specialist Module in Gynaecological Oncology from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London in 2010. I carry a Diploma in Minimally Invasive Surgery obtained in France 2011 and since joining Frimley Park Hospital in 2011 I have trained in Robotic Surgery. I now regularly perform robotic surgery particularly for patients with endometrial cancer. My training in all these different surgical techniques enables me to take on complex benign gynaecological cases like advanced endometriosis.
Having obtained a postgraduate degree at King's College, London, in Medical Scanning in 2016 I am able to use the ultrasound tool in the diagnosis process which increase the speed of making the right diagnosis.
I am the chair of our local Multidisciplinary Team for Gynaecological Oncology at Frimley Park Hospital.
I really enjoy the teaching aspect of the medical profession, particularly passing on my surgical skills to colleagues in training within the NHS and being part of the Southampton Medical School rotation for Medical Students.
I am an active member of several associations, including the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, the British Gynaecological Cancer Society, The British Fertility Society and the British/European Society of Gynaecological Robotic Surgeons and regularly update myself by attending their scientific meetings.
I speak English and German fluently, and also have an intermediate knowledge of French and basic knowledge of Italian.

I enjoy spending my spare time with my husband and three children, particularly discussing current problems and issues of our society. Being out in the fresh air is really important to me and I am a very keen gardener. However, during the short winter days I concentrate more on on indoor activities like sewing and all other kinds of craft.
