Louise Prottey – Parkway’s physio fit for England!

13 February 2014

Louise Prottey has taken up a fantastic opportunity to work with the England Women’s Rugby 15s Team. This once in a lifetime opportunity recognizes the high standards of Spire Parkway’s physiotherapy team – if it’s good enough for Parkway patients, it’s good enough for English Rugby Teams!

Appointed in November 2013, Louise was already working as physio to Worcester Ladies RFC 1st XV, as well as working within the English Institute of Sport for England Ladies Rugby. Being appointed physio for the England Women’s Rugby is a positive acknowledgement of Louise’s talents as a physio and will allow her to further develop and put into practice her skills.

Specialising in sports injuries, injury prevention and rehabilitation, Louise sits pitch side at their matches, as well as providing pre and post-match treatments. Her hands on experience with the team will only help enhance and hone her skills, providing her with a real insight to the day to day requirements of sportsmen and women, all of which will be reflected in the treatments she offers here at Parkway Hospital.

With the Six Nations already underway, Louise will be there to help the team on their way to victory!

The physiotherapy team at Parkway offer a variety of treatments, any of which can be booked directly.

It’s a common misconception that in order to access parkway’s Physiotherapy treatments, you must already be a patient here, when in fact, you can book direct!

Common ailments treated include:

  • Sports injuries
  • Shoulder/Knee injuries
  • Arthritis/Rheumatism
  • Joint Problems/Neck Pain
  • Balance Disorders & Dizziness and much more

The Physiotherapy department is also able to conduct assessment screening and injury prevention screenings.

If you wish to book an appointment or have any queries please call: 0121 704 5546.
