Day-care unit grand opening

20 December 2017

Warrington Wolves star Ryan Atkins was a special guest at an informal ceremony to unveil the results of a £350,000 refurbishment of Spire Cheshire Hospital’s day-care unit.

The work started in May and included a complete makeover for the day-care reception. The nine existing day-care ‘pods’ were all given a major facelift while nine additional pods were created – almost doubling the amount of patients that can be treated in the unit.

Spire Cheshire Hospital Manager Dan West said: “It is great to welcome one of Warrington’s sporting heroes to help us mark this special occasion. This investment underlines Spire Healthcare’s confidence and commitment to expanding and improving our hospital facilities for our community.

"Advances in healthcare continue at an amazing rate and it is our mission to keep pace with those developments. The new day care unit will help to maintain the high standards of service and the outstanding quality of care that our patients have come to expect from their local Spire hospital.”
