Professional profile

I qualified as a Dietician in 2004 and since then have benefitted from wealth of NHS experience across both acute and community settings. My previous dietetic experience includes weight reduction, healthy eating, cholesterol lowering and diabetes as well as seeing people at home who are entirely fed via nasogastric tubes or PEGs.

For the last 6 years I have been the specialist Nutrition support and Gastroenterology Dietician at King George Hospital. Here I provide a specialist inpatient service to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including IBD, Liver disease, Coeliac disease and functional gut disorders with a range of symptoms. I am trained in providing the Low FODMAP diet for these disorders. I will advise patients on diet following Bowel surgery, and stoma formation, and have conducted talks to a local Bowel cancer support group.

The other part of my NHS role is to provide complex nutrition support to patients’ pre and post-surgery including patients on the intensive care unit.
